Job summary

Mission

• Responsible for the safety, security, and protection of Marine environment of FPSO, manage the Cargo department and report to the OIM (Offshore Installation Manager) and able to operate, according with Company Procedures;
• Deputy OIM: be the second in charge of the OIM and collaborate in the definition and execution of the Operations plan;
• Assist the OIM in the safe and efficient General FPSO’s conduction;
• Act as the Port Facility Security Officer or Ship security officer, offshore, in coordination with Local Security Manager, as per ISPS Code and local requirement;
• Considered as the BS (Barge Supervisor) as defined in IMO resolution A.1079 (28).

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

• Have at least 15 years of experience in heavy lift operations in offshore / FPSO Oil & Gas field.
• Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

• Report to OIM, manager of the Supervisors and Cargo personnel, ensuring that operate with efficiency according to Company requirements, State, Class, Flag, ISM, ISPS, MLC2006, SOLAS, MARPOL, relevant statutory and client requirements;
• Cooperate with OIM and Safety Officer in case of FPSO emergency as per HSE & Emergency response and preparedness Procedures;
• Cooperate in periodical review and maintenance of the Safety Management System and other vessel documentation;
• Manage FPSO Cargo operations and related activities;
• Manage FPSO Marine Activity upon requirement of the Client and contractual aspect;
• Manage the Offloading operations in a stable and safe manner, onboard FPSO;
• Have responsibilities for coordinating/guaranteeing information flow between FPSO and Saipem Local Office;
• Monitor levels of competency on board and ensure that corrective action takes place;
• Monitor the annual assessments and skills evaluation of personnel;
• Manage day-to-day disciplinary/performance issues on board with appropriate reference to OIM;
• Coordinate HSE, Production, Maintenance with Marine/Cargo Areas;
• Coordinate with OIM for all Marine/Cargo related issues;
• Coordinate training request for personnel and the competent offices of Saipem;
• Assist the Saipem Department or Third Parties during audits on board;
• Monitor implementation of remedial/corrective actions for internal/Customer issues on the Marine/Cargo issues;
• Guarantee that applicable rules/regulations, with special regards to those referred to safety on job site, are implemented;
• Coordinate with HR department to ensure that Cargo/Marine personnel on board are in possession of proper certification/qualification to work in assigned position upon IMO regulation applicable or not the project;
• Coordinate with Purser for rotation aspects concerning Cargo/Marine Personnel;
• Coordinate with Onshore logistic representative for FPSO Logistic matters;
• Participate/promote safety meetings/safety drills held on-board;
• Follow AMOS database requirement for Cargo Department;
• Promptly report all accidents, near-miss accidents, non-conformance through the proper channels;
• Be familiar with all work and safety procedures issued by Saipem/Client and promote implementation;

During Pre-operation phases (Engineering, Shipyard, Transit, Commissioning, Startup):
• Support OIM, Commissioning/Start up Manager and substitute OIM if required;
• Upon project requirement, support FPSO preparation for transit to Country of Operations ensuring compliance with all flag/international applicable rules/regulations;
• Ensure that all surveys are completed prior to acceptance of FPSO and departure from shipyard;
• Ensure that Crew members are properly trained/familiarized with FPSO operation/equipment’s;
• Manage/supervise Cargo/marine crew during conversion/commissioning at Shipyard;
• Ensure that personnel comply with applicable safety rules/regulations;
• Coordinate with Materials Supervisors to ensure adequate stocks of spare parts/consumables for Cargo/marine Activities.

Location: Dubai Drydocks (UAE);
Contract duration: 6 weeks;

Working schedule: 10 hours x 6 days.

2nd Phase in IVORY COAST
Location: Ivory Coast, offshore platform;
Contract duration: 6 months (extendable);
Starting date: April;
Rotation: 35/35
Working schedule: 12 hours x 7 days;
Salary range: N/A
