Job summary

MISSION:

Responsible for managing and supervising the engineering activities on office (1st phase) / site (2nd phase) and defining solutions to engineering problems that may arise during construction.

TASKS:

  • Leading and managing a team of engineers, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle (from engineering to construction);
  • Overseeing the execution of field engineering activities, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and project timelines;
  • Collaborating with project engineers / project managers to achieve project goals;
  • Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure that field engineering activities meet specified standards;
  • Conducting regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with engineering and safety requirements;
  • Prioritizing and enforcing safety protocols and practices in all field engineering activities;
  • Conducting safety briefings, risk assessments, and ensuring the implementation of safe work procedures;
  • Providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and resolutions;
  • Managing resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support field engineering activities;
  • Collaborating with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of required resources.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering;
  • 15+ years of experience in the role with a focus on EPC Urea projects;
  • Proven leadership experience in managing field engineering teams;
  • Knowledge of urea production processes and related engineering practices.

1st Phase

  • Job Location: Chennai (office), India;
  • Contract Duration: 1 year;
  • Working schedule: 8 hours x 5 days;
  • Starting date: February 2024.

2nd Phase

  • Job Location: Karratha (site), Australia;
  • Contract Duration: 1 year (extandable);
  • Working schedule: 10 hours x 6 days;
  • Starting date: February 2025.
