Job summary
MISSION:
Responsible for overseeing the loop checking and interlock testing processes.
WORK ACTIVITIES:
- Planning, coordinating, and executing loop checking activities to ensure proper installation and connection of instrumentation and control devices;
- Verifying the functionality and integrity of control loops according to project specifications and industry standards;
- Developing, implementing, and overseeing the testing of interlock systems to ensure that safety measures are effectively triggered in case of abnormal conditions;
- Conducting rigorous testing scenarios to validate interlock responses and reliability;
- Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to coordinate loop checking and interlock testing activities;
- Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of loop systems;
- Diagnosing and resolving any issues identified during loop checking and interlock testing, providing technical guidance and solutions as needed;
- Conducting root cause analysis for identified discrepancies and implement corrective actions;
- Generating comprehensive documentation, including loop check reports, interlock testing records, and as-built drawings;
- Provide regular updates on testing progress and results;
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, industry regulations, and relevant standards in all loop checking and interlock testing activities;
- Contributing to the development of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives related to loop checking and interlock testing processes.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience during the execution of Polyethylene projects.
OTHER DETAILS:
- Job Location: Ruwais, UAE;
- Contract Duration: 1 year;
- Working schedule: 10 hours x 6 days;
- Starting date: December 2023.
