Job summary

MISSION:

• Responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and components of several photovoltaic projects.

TASKS:

• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and technicians, to develop and implement mechanical systems for the installation;
• Developing detailed mechanical designs for solar arrays, mounting structures, tracking systems, and related components, considering factors such as wind load, structural integrity, and environmental conditions;
• Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings for mechanical components and systems;
• Performing engineering calculations and simulations to ensure the robustness and efficiency of mechanical designs, addressing static and dynamic loads;
• Evaluating and selecting appropriate materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes for mechanical components, considering cost-effectiveness and durability;
• Participating in site assessments and field inspections to verify the proper installation and functioning of mechanical components;
• Collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors to oversee the fabrication, assembly, and installation of mechanical systems;
• Troubleshooting mechanical issues and challenges, proposing and implementing effective solutions to ensure optimal system performance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• 5+ years of experience in Renewable Energies / Photovoltaic projects.

• Job Location: Carcarello, Viterbo (Italy);
• Contract Duration: 1 year;
• Working schedule: 10 hours x 6 days;
• Starting date: September 2023.
