Job summary


Responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and implementing process designs that align with industry standards, safety protocols, and project requirements.


  • Conducting detailed process simulations and analyses to optimize the efficiency and performance of processing systems;
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements and implement changes to enhance overall process effectiveness;
  • Executing the development of process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other process design documentation;
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements;
  • Specifying and selecting process equipment, ensuring compatibility with project specifications and industry standards;
  • Collaborating with procurement teams to evaluate and select equipment vendors;
  • Ensuring that process designs comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry codes;
  • Conducting hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies and participating in safety reviews;
  • Providing technical support to project teams during the execution phase, addressing design-related queries and challenges;
  • Collaborating with construction and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project transition;
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in process design methodologies;
  • Implementing initiatives to enhance the efficiency and reliability of processing facilities.


  • Minimum Education BSc/BTech Degree in Chemical Engineering; MSc/MTech Degree is an advantage;
  • Minimum Experience 8+ years in the industry (Offshore Oil & Gas facilities, drilling rigs, Shipyard);
  • Saudi Aramco standards experience is required;
  • Experience in preparing all process drawings such as P&IDs, PFDs, UFDs, and Material Selection Diagrams (MSDs);
  • AutoCad, SPPID (Smart Plant P&ID), AVEVA PDMS, Microstation.

  • Contract duration: Long-term;
  • Working schedule: 9 hours x 5 days;
  • Starting date: February 2024.
