  • Engineering degree.
  • Previous relevant work experience in an EPIC project Oil & Gas Field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experiences with QP (preferable)

PE Duties and Responsibilities includes:

  • Ensures that engineering is following the correct line of business work process map, procedures, work instructions, and project-specific procedures.
  • Establishes / maintains office standards for design change control
  • Establish and implement a process for effective communication and coordination between engineering/design disciplines in the lead and support offices
  • Provide a technically sound, safe, and cost-effective design consistent with the Project Budget, client’s requirements and all applicable industry and regulatory standards and practices
  • Coordinates the distribution of the IFC drawings of each of the disciplines assigned to the project
  • Informs Discipline Leads of design changes, specification changes, project decisions, and new information received from the client, vendors, or other members of the project team
  • Ensures that all drawings are produced in a consistent configuration to enable transfer between designers, disciplines, lead and support offices, and in accordance with client requirements
  • Ensures that all engineering and design staff is adequate to support the project and have a clear and accurate scope definition
  • Verifies adequacy of negotiated professional services budgets against negotiated project scope with Engineering discipline leads supporting the project
  • Verifies agreement with Engineering discipline leads on project schedule milestones
  • Incorporates design basis document into the Project Execution Plan. Includes any ambiguities, deviations, or omissions in the Project Risk Mitigation Plan, where applicable. Verifies that all documents referenced in the design basis are available.
  • Incorporates design change control procedure, revised as necessary to reflect project/client-specific requirements, into the Change Management Procedure
  • Support Procurement Team in all Engineering concerns (specs, MTOs, etc.)
  • Support Subcontracting Team in all Engineering concerns (Work Pack Definition, specs, MTOs, etc.)
  • Manage costs against discipline budgets, and provide timely and accurate estimates-to-complete to Project Controls for monthly cost tracking and reporting
  • Provide timely input to project controls for monthly progress/productivity tracking and reporting
  • Conduct a review of the basis of design to ensure that all design inputs are adequate to meet functional and performance requirements. Resolve any incomplete, ambiguous, or conflicting requirements. Ensure all referenced documents are available.
  • Issue a design safety and environmental plan, in coordination with the General Designer that identifies and defines the activities necessary to establish and maintain design safety, including client’s design safety requirements
  • Chair the HAZOP and manage the implementation of any change resulting by this study.
  • Establish discipline files for the project in accordance with the respective design manuals and the project document control procedures. Maintain files and filing indices.
  • Responsible for the timely preparation, review, and delivery of all required engineering deliverables. Deliverables may include, but are not limited to, calculations, drawings, specifications, data sheets, reports, and as-built/record drawings.
  • Prior to issue, verify that all engineering deliverables are checked and approved – no drawings shall be issued for construction without undergoing the checking process.
  • Prepare and submit requisitions to Supply Management for equipment, materials, and services
