Job summary

MISSION:

Responsible for the efficient execution of the project to ensure that it is delivered within schedule, cost and in accordance with the project quality and HSE standards.

Promoting safe behavior at all times.

Managing a multi-discipline project through detail design, construction, commissioning, handover, and close-out.

Ensuring that the project is completed within schedule and cost budgets to the specified level of quality.

TASKS:

  • Single point responsibility for the efficient delivery of the project within schedule, cost, and quality standards;
  • Developing the project Scope of Work in order to define the required deliverables;
  • Establishing an effective document management system for the project;
  • Ensuring that effective business controls are applied throughout the project and in accordance with stated requirements;
  • Controlling will apply to all HSE, commercial, financial, quality, integrity, and schedule issues;
  • Responsible for the management of all project reporting, interface definition and management, plus liaison with Client project engineers;
  • Ensuring that technical integrity is fully maintained and that all deviations to project standards/procedures are formally recorded and approved;
  • Identifying and costing or scheduling reduction opportunities and ensuring that these are pursued wherever appropriate;
  • Managing and reporting both budget and scheduling on a weekly and monthly basis;
  • Management of all project audit reports, and ensuring that all audit action items are closed-out in a timely manner;
  • Highlighting and resolving project issues at the earliest opportunity;
  • Exercising control over manpower and material resources in order to complete the project within budget, schedule, quality, and HSE requirements;
  • Promoting a planning – execute – measure – feedback methodology in project engineering;
  • Coordinating with Client, local government entities, or any companies needed for the execution of the project at any stages;
  • Reviewing the contract document and local regulation to support the project execution;
  • Managing Technical Queries during engineering, and coordinating responses;
  • Managing cost, schedule and delivery during the engineering and procurement process;
  • Managing Technical Bid Evaluation process and production of the Technical Bid Evaluation Report;
  • Driving interface management, liaising with the Client’s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion;
  • Promoting safe behavior at all times;
  • Ensuring that own actions plus those of the project team are conducted in accordance with the HSE management system;
  • Developing the project Scope of Work in order to define the required deliverables;
  • Ensuring that effective business controls are applied throughout the project and in accordance with stated requirements. Controls will apply to all HSE, commercial, financial, quality, integrity, and schedule issues;
  • Responsible for the management of all project reporting, interface definition and management, plus liaison with Client project engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering;
  • Proven 5+ years of work experience as a Project Engineer managing medium sized EPC upstream onshore Oil & Gas projects;
  • Knowledge of the various software packages and automated engineering and reporting systems;
  • Ability to apply concepts such as cost and schedule risk analysis and estimating techniques such as ICARUS;
  • Knowledge and understanding of Lump Sum EPC contracting;
  • Knowledge of unit rate and reimbursable contracting;
  • Fluent level of written and spoken English.
