Job summary

 

MISSION:

Responsible for ensuring that all material is stored and handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements, data sheets are available, material traceability is maintained and correct material is used.

TASKS:

  • Performing visual inspections, thickness measurements, adhesion tests, and other quality checks on coatings applied to various surfaces in compliance with project specifications and international standards;
  • Maintaining accurate records of inspection results, preparing detailed reports, and documenting any deviations or non-conformities observed during coating inspections;
  • Ensuring all coating processes align with relevant industry standards (e.g., NACE, SSPC, ISO), project specifications, and client requirements;
  • Monitoring and inspecting surface preparation methods (blasting, cleaning, etc.) to ensure they meet the required standards before the application of coatings;
  • Working closely with project teams, coating contractors, and third-party inspectors to address any issues, provide technical guidance, and ensure smooth project progress;
  • Implementing and enforcing quality control procedures related to coating applications, ensuring consistency, durability, and protection of assets in corrosive environments.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Certification in Coating Inspection (e.g., NACE CIP Level 2 or equivalent) is required;
  • CBP Exam certification and Aramco approval is required;
  • 10+ years of experience as a QC Coating Inspector in the Oil & Gas sector;
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards such as NACE, SSPC, and ISO related to coatings in the Oil & Gas sector;
  • Fluent level of written and spoken English;
  • In adherence to the Saudization process, we are exclusively considering applications from Saudi citizens for this position.

  • Job Location: Dammam, KSA;
  • Contract Duration: Long-term;
  • Working schedule: 9 hours x 5 days;
  • Starting date: December 2023.
