Job summary

MISSION:

Responsible for ensuring the successful execution of the project by providing accurate cost estimations, managing budgets, and conducting thorough financial assessments.

TASKS:

  • Preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and overhead costs;
  • Collaborating with project managers and engineers to assess project requirements and identify cost drivers;
  • Developing and managing project budgets, ensuring alignment with project specifications and corporate financial goals;
  • Monitoring and controlling project expenditures to prevent cost overruns;
  • Assisting in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents and contracts;
  • Reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Conducting risk assessments related to cost factors and proposing mitigation strategies;
  • Providing recommendations for optimizing project costs while maintaining quality standards;
  • Performing detailed quantity take-offs for materials and labor to support accurate cost calculations;
  • Collaborating with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services;
  • Generating regular reports on project costs, budget variances, and financial performance;
  • Communicating cost-related information to project management in a clear and concise manner.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field;
  • 10+ years of direct work experience performing as Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on EPC projects in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical fields;
  • Strong knowledge of cost estimation methodologies, project budgeting, and contract administration;
  • Fluent level of English (written and spoken).

  • Location: Doha, Qatar;
  • Contract duration: Long-term;
  • Working schedule: 9 hours x 5 days;
  • Starting date: February 2024.
