Job summary

 

MISSION:

  • Ensuring the quality, integrity, and compliance of welding processes;
  • Conducting meticulous inspections, collaborating across teams to maintain superior welding practices, ensuring safety and reliability in project operations.

TASKS:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of welding processes, materials, and equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and project specifications;
  • Implementing and enforcing quality control procedures, ensuring welding procedures meet required standards for strength, durability, and safety;
  • Maintaining detailed records of welding inspections, preparing comprehensive reports, and documenting any deviations or corrective actions required for compliance;
  • Collaborating with welding teams, contractors, and project managers to address welding-related issues, resolving discrepancies.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma with 6+ years of direct work experience, in the specific engineering discipline, performing QC inspection and testing of industrial project materials, equipment, systems and facilities under construction and Pre-Commissioning;
  • 3+ years of direct work experience performing QC inspection and testing related to the scope of work (e.g., industrial Oil & Gas production or petrochemical projects);
  • Fluent level of English language;
  • Currently certified by either AWS as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), or TWI CL as a CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector (WI), or an approved equivalent certification level and scheme;
  • Direct work experience and demonstrated thorough knowledge of engineering codes and standards with welding and testing requirements, such as ANSl/ASME 831.3, 831.4 & 831.8; ASME 8PVC (Sections V and IX); API 620, API 650 and AWS 01.1;
  • Previous Aramco Approvals and CBT are added value.

  • Job Location: Jafurah, KSA;
  • Contract Duration: Long-Term;
  • Working schedule: 10 hours x 6 days;
  • Starting date: January 2024.
